Marine Conservation Program
A 10 day immersion into marine conservation. Preservation of our oceans is of paramount importance to us. We will teach and show you what we know, you will learn and appreciate the marine environment, and hopefully become ambassadors of the oceans.
Our professional and enthusiastic guides and conservationists will teach you underwater photography, you will learn how to identify marine species and record your observations. You may be observing whales, dolphins, whale sharks, manta rays, mobula rays, sharks and coral reefs and their inhabitants. Work with education awareness projects and community outreach programs to help protect and preserve the marine life in Panama’s oceans, around Coiba island, and the surrounding areas. There is so much that can be done, so surely you will return home with an unforgettable experience.
We can offer certifications in Turtle Conservation, Whale Shark Conservation, Shark awareness, fish identification and much more…
A percentage of the package price goes to help fund conservation programs and NGOs with their work in Panama.
We have a strict policy, that is to observe and learn but not to touch. No marine souvenirs or prizes are allowed.
Though we work hard, we leave lots of time for fun and relaxing on the beach or enjoying the surrounding nature. Kayaking, snorkelling, beach volleyball or hiking the mangrove forests will occupy your free time. Whilst enjoying freshly prepared food, the nights are filled with lots of fun activities as well, night time forest hikes to view the nocturnal animals, Phosphorescent tours in the sea, presentations in the meeting area, and possibly beach BBQs and bonfires.
